Sales Representative - Waikato 

We are looking for a Technical Sales Representative for the Waikato region to join our expanding team. You should thrive under pressure, be a self-motivated and energetic problem solver, dedicated to customer service with exceptional communication skills. You should be someone who embraces technology, be proficient with Microsoft Excel and have a high aptitude for learning new systems.
Basic CAD experience would be an advantage to assist in the presentation of concept designs to clients.

You should have exceptional knowledge of typical residential and commercial building systems with at least 5 years’ experience in the building/construction trade and a proven track record in sales. You should also be able to read and understand construction plans to a high level.

The package includes a competitive base salary and commission, vehicle, phone, laptop and any necessary tools of the trade as required.


Key Responsibilities Include:

• Developing client base through various sales and marketing initiatives
• Pre-Qualify leads and arrange on site appointments
• Discuss client’s needs and develop/design solutions to suit
• Prepare costings and quote projects including any conceptual designs where applicable
• Carry out final measures and provide detailed information to our QS/Draughting Team in order to confirm construction details/plans.
• Maintain and manage communication with clients through to completion of any projects

The role requires you to work with a diverse range of clients including Architects, Builders and Direct Customers. While most leads are generated from our various marketing initiatives you will also be expected to cold call on prospective clients and execute other initiatives to develop our client base. You will also be required to attend Home shows and other relevant events throughout the year.

​The role is primarily Waikato focused and based from our head office in Cambridge although we have a nationwide franchise network whom you may be asked to assist on occasions. You will be working closely with the General Manager and other Key Managers/Staff.
